Courtney Sale Ross
Courtney Sale Ross is known as an innovative leader in education. For more than 16 years, she has been working to create programs that help prepare students for the challenges of the 21st century.
With the help of several educational pioneers, Courtney Sale Ross has pioneered some new educational models that enhanced some of the practices in K-12 education. She is the known founder of the Ross Institute, the Ross Global Academy and the Ross School.
The Ross Institute for Advanced Study Innovation in Education has been around since 1996. This institution was founded to promote the understanding of globalization for students in pre-collegiate public education.
The Ross Global Academy, on the other hand, was founded in 2006. This innovative public charter school was established through a partnership with the New York City’s Board of Education and the New York University’s Steinhardt School of Education.
Finally, Courtney Sale Ross founded the Ross School in 1991 with her late husband, Steve Ross. At present, the school has more than 560 students from pre-nursery to 12th grade. It maintains two campuses in Bridgehampton and East Hampton, New York.
Apart from her duties for these schools, Courtney Sale Ross has also contributed to several major educational institutions across the country. She has donated to the University of Southern California, Skidmore College, Harvard University and New York University.
