Donald Trump, chairman and CEO of the Trump Organization, is one of America’s most popular business magnates, socialites, and television personalities.
Born on June 14, 1946, Donald Trump is the 4th in a family of five children of a wealthy New York City real estate developer, Fred Trump.
Influenced and inspired by his father, Donald Trump readied himself for a career in real estate development. After finishing his studies at Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1968, he joined The Trump Organization, the company set up by his father.
By the 1970s, Donald Trump had made a name for himself by successfully talking to banks and city governments and asking them for financial assistance for his ambitious projects. In 1982, his efforts paid off when the grand and majestic Trump Tower was built on Fifth Avenue. A few years later, Donald Trump began immersing himself in the casino business and went over to New Jersey.
Although viewed as outspoken and somewhat flamboyant, Donald Trump actually went on a slump in 1990 and even found himself in heavy debt. But he bounced back and refused to let this momentary slip hamper his quest for success.
By the year 2000, Donald Trump was able to successfully recover and regain his worth of more than a billion dollars. To date, he owns some of the most popular, most wanted, and most prestigious real estate in the city of New York. Some of Donald Trump’s most exclusive and prominent properties include the Trump Casino, Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, Trump International Hotel, Trump Marina Hotel and Casino, and The Palm Trump International Hotel and Tower in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Donald Trump also owns the Miss Universe Organization and NBC, or National Broadcasting Company.
This self-confident and extravagant businessman is known by his moniker, “The Donald.” He is also popular for his hit reality TV show, “The Apprentice.”
Aside from his numerous real estate dealings, Donald Trump is also busy with the online business school the Trump University, which started operating in 2005.
Donald Trump has authored several books including “The Art of the Deal,” “How to Get Rich,” and “Trump 101: The Way to Success.” At present, he owns four golf courses in the US.
