Irene Rosenfeld
Irene Rosenfeld runs one the largest food manufacturers in the US. The CEO and Chairman of Kraft Foods, she has been working for 25 years in the food and beverage industry, making her an experienced industry expert.
Rosenfeld started her career as part of the consumer research staff of Dancer Fitzgerald Sample, an advertising agency in New York. After that, she entered General Foods, which became part of Kraft Foods later on.
By 2004, she started focusing on healthy products when she became the Chairman and CEO of Frito-Lay, a part of PepsiCo. She held these positions until 2006, before she joined Kraft Foods.
Irene Rosenfeld was chosen as the CEO of Kraft Foods in June 2006, and was given the additional post of Chairman in March 2007. She has greatly contributed to the success of the company. Among her achievements is having led the turnaround and restructuring of Canada, US and Mexico businesses. She also played a significant role in the acquisition of the companies Nabisco and Lu.
In addition, she is a member of the board of the Grocery Manufacturers Association as well as the Cornell University Board of Trustees. She is also a member of the Economic Club of Chicago.
Rosenfeld’s academic achievements are as impressive as her work experience. She has earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration, a Ph.D. in Marketing and Statistics and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
