Ken Lewis
Ken Lewis is a man with several notches in his belt for his accomplishments in the field of business. However, he is most recognized as the president and chief executive officer of the Bank of America, the largest bank in the US.
Ken Lewis’ humble beginnings are rooted in a small town in Mississippi. As the son of a soldier, Lewis learned the value of hard work at an early age. However, his introduction to the business world came a little later. In 1969, Lewis entered the ranks of NCNB as a credit analyst. He eventually saw its rise to NationsBank and served as head of global and home operations. Ken Lewis is now the chief executive officer of the Bank of America N.A., and the president of the Bank of America Canada.
Ken Lewis is also involved with several nonprofit organizations. He holds various positions on several committees. He is a member of the Committee to Encourage Corporate Philanthropy, a director at the Homeownership Education and Counseling Institute, and vice chairman of the Corporate Board of Finance of The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. He is also a former chairman of the National Urban League.
Lewis graduated with a degree in finance from Georgetown University. Subsequently, he finished the executive program at Stanford University.
