Steve Ballmer

Steven Anthony Ballmer is famous for manning the software company Microsoft Corporation, one of the leading technology businesses in the world.

He was born on the 24th of March in 1956 in Detroit, Michigan to a father who was an immigrant and Ford Motor Co worker, and to a mother who was Jewish-American. In 1973, he graduated from Detroit County Day School, where he is currently a member of the board of directors. At Harvard, he met Bill Gates, the one who later hired him as the first business manager for Microsoft Corp. Harvard was also where Steve Ballmer earned his degree in applied mathematics in 1977.

Before he was employed at Microsoft, he was working as the assistant product manager for Procter & Gamble. Steve Ballmer was later convinced by Gates to work for him full time. As a result, Steve Ballmer did not finish his studies at Stanford as he worked with Gates at Microsoft Corp.

After being appointed as the head of different divisions, he was eventually promoted to president in 1998 by Gates. By 2000, he became chief executive officer after Gates resigned from the seat. He has held that position ever since.

Steve Ballmer has been married to Connie Snyder, with whom he has two sons, since 1990. He is said to be a passionate, dynamic, focused, witty and sincere individual who has infused the corporation with active leadership and vision throughout the years that he has been with Microsoft.
